  • This PROSPECTS Opportunity Fund project focuses on fostering social dialogue and identifying prospects for inclusive access to decent work pathways in the digital economy.​
  • The project emerges as a critical partner to governments, social partners, national and local actors, including refugees and their host communities to find new ways of working to unlock job opportunities and livelihoods.​
  • Through partnerships, advocacy, and capacity building, the project is promoting policy change for inclusion and decent work in the  digital economy in eight priority countries that host large numbers of forcibly displaced people: Egypt, Ethiopia, Iraq, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Sudan and Uganda.

Mechanisms to harness digital job potential for all​

In Kenya, the establishment of a Community of Practice (CoP) on Digital Skills and Jobs provides a collaborative platform for national ecosystem actors to move out of silos and jointly discuss emerging issues in the digital economy, especially those affecting business development and technological adoption, innovation, digital infrastructure, job creation, skills and e-commerce. The CoP’s promotes open dialogue, partnerships, and collaboration to drive systemic change, inclusion and decent work in the digital economy.
